Spanish I
Foreign language classes are distinct from all the other classes you will take in that they give you something that no other class can give you: the ability to connect with and build relationships with people where a wall would have existed between you and them before.
Throughout this class you will:
-Learn about Hispanic and Latin American culture.
-Develop basic conversational skills in Spanish.
-Use correct grammatical structures for basic written and spoken Spanish.
-Work cooperatively with others.
-Begin building a diverse vocabulary in Spanish.
-Learn to correctly use many of the indicative modes in Spanish including: present tense, preterit tense, perfect tense, present perfect tense, past perfect tense, future and conditional tense.
Spanish classes are designed to provide you with the necessary reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to express yourself and interact with Spanish speakers. Although Spanish courses are currently electives, they are becoming essential for college-bound and vocational students alike due to the demand for bilingual employees.
