Here you should be able to find a list of homework assignments, projects, and help on how to do certain things.
7th Grade Math
Class Purpose: The purpose of this level of Mathematics is to:
- Develop critical thinking skills
- Begin to master algebra and geometry concepts
- Practice in independent and group problem solving
- Learn to work cooperatively with others
- Develop successful study skills
Classroom Rules:
- Have all needed materials with you each day: pen or pencil, textbook, and notebook.
- Be on time for class every day
- No food, candy, or beverages. Water, however, is allowed in class.
- Show respect and patience for all people in the classroom (no horseplay, throwing items, and negative comments).
- Keep your hands to yourself, and be courteous to everyone.
- When missing school, find out what work you missed Every day, what we do in class is posted on the class website, and extra worksheets are in the third drawer of the student filing cabinet in my room. It is your responsibility to make up any missing work when you are absent!
Not following these rules can lead to disciplinary action as outlined in the handbook
Grading Policy
- 50% of your grade is from assignments and activities done in class, participation, and behavior.
- 10% of your grade is from homework. Homework is assigned every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year.
- 10% of your grade is from quizzes. These will be given every Friday. Notes are allowed on these, so make sure you take good notes during class!
- 30% of your grade is from tests. These will be given once per chapter (about every 3 weeks or so). I will give about 1-2 weeks warning about when the test will be. One sheet of notes (front and back) will be allowed on the test.
