Customary System of Measurement
The customary system is the system that is used currently in the USA and a few select other countries. It is older than the Metric System, and perhaps harder to use.

Metric System
The metric system is a system of measurements that was developed hundreds of years ago to help solve some problems with measuring things internationally. It was developed as a standard that can be used by everyone (in particular, scientists and mathematicians). The metric system is purely based on the number 10. This means that types of measurement can be converted to other measurements by multiplying and dividing by 10.

This page will talk about how to convert between the Customary System and the Metric System
