I work closely with the teachers of 8th grade U.S. History, 7th grade Geography, and 10th grade World History as students work on their Individual Education Plan goals and objectives while being exposed to the curricular concepts taught in these classes. Students in these classes should refer to their general education teachers' webpages for class descriptions, guidelines, and class assignments.
Classroom Rules & Responsibilities:
- Be on time and be prepared. I follow the school handbook policy on Tardies. Be prepared—bring homework, textbooks, and a pencil. TURN OFF cell phones.
- No excessive talking in class. Detentions will be assigned for disrupting class.
- Students needing a hall pass must have THEIR OWN planner. Passes will not be written in a planner other than your own. Passes will not be given the first 15 minutes of class. I do not give passes to the drinking fountain. Students must have an academic purpose to request a pass to the library.
- The teacher’s desk is off limits to any student.
- Food and drinks will not be permitted in the classroom.
- Classroom computers are for the purpose of completing core area assignments, practicing skills, and academic research. Students will be permitted to use the computers at the teacher’s discretion and priority will be given to students needing to complete core class assignments. Students must follow River Valley technology guidelines.
