Scout Summer Books – July 18 to 20
A freshly renovated 1965 Airstream is pulling into Granor Farm! Scout is stocked with the latest in adult fiction, sizzling beach reads, and fun children’s books to inspire their reading goals this summer.
Be sure to stop by on Saturday, July 19, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to meet three children’s authors from Chicago who will give short readings and be on hand to sign their books.
Seth Marcus
For as long as he can remember, Seth has had a love of nature. He spends about as much time outside as his life allows. He enjoys kayaking, hiking, biking, and meandering strolls—like Agnes in his book Agnes Knows Nature.
Jeff Miller
Jeff is a middle-grade author and former camp counselor. He is the author of The Nerdy Dozen series. His latest novel, Rare Birds, is about his own experience living through a parent’s heart transplant.
Adi Alsaid
Born and raised in Mexico City, Adi is the author of several young adult novels including North of Happy, a Kirkus Best book nominee. He has also edited Come On In, stories about immigration and finding home.
A portion of book sales will go to the local chapter of Blessings in a Backpack. Granor Farm is proud to support this organization that provides easy-to-prepare meals each weekend for children in the River Valley School District.
