FACILITY IMPROVEMENT UPDATE
The history of River Valley Schools, From Undeveloped Country to Harbor Country, 1844 to 2026. The approximately one-hour presentation takes place Friday, May 29 at 9 AM in the Church.
Thank you to the River Valley community and voters for the support of our Non-Homestead Operating Millage request, which passed by a margin of 938 (68%) Yes votes to 439 (32%) No votes (unofficial results). This is a big deal for our school district as it allows us to continue to collect 18 mills on non-homestead property in our school district even if the Taxable Value continues to rise faster than the rate of inflation, as it has been. Being our primary funding source, this is vital for our financial security as a school district. #RiverValley #RiverValleySchools #ThankYouVoters #ThankYouCommunity #CommunitySuppor t#GratefulCommunity
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT The Harbor County News was at our last Board Meeting and wrote the following story summarizing many topics such as our construction projects, amazing theater students, our discussion about painting the gym floor, and our social studies curriculum presentations. FACILITY UPDATE I am excited to report that our construction bids came in substantially under budget estimates last week. On Monday evening, our board approved the summer construction bids. Our parking lot and many sidewalks will be replaced, as well as the planter on the north side of the school. We will also be replacing the gym floor this summer. The gravel construction lot near the playground will be the primary parking lot for our school this summer. Stay tuned for more updates as we enter a busy summer of facility improvements.
